WordPress sites need care. Updates, backups, security checks – that's not a marketing argument, it's reality. We do it so you don't have to.
Updates Steal Hours You Don't Have
Plugin update breaks the theme. Theme update breaks the plugin. WordPress update breaks both. If you've had enough – we haven't, with staging tests before every update in our Pro and Premium plans.
You'll Notice Security Holes Only After the Hack
WordPress is attacked daily, usually through outdated plugins. We monitor with Patchstack, block known vulnerabilities, and respond in 4 to 24 hours – depending on the plan.
Hosting Migration Without Drama
Your host is annoying? Your site should move? Pro and Premium plans include one hosting migration per year – staging test, cutover, DNS switch. We recommend the right host if you don't have one.
No Lock-in Contracts, No Hidden Hours
Monthly cancellable after the first 3 months. Hourly rate for extras is transparent at 100 €. No ticket roulette – you have one person as contact, not a call center.

Every plan includes our baseline: WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates. Daily backups on German servers, encrypted and separate from your site's hosting. Patchstack license. Uptime and SSL monitoring. PHP version tracking with timely migration recommendation. One named contact person from our team – no ticket roulette. DPA per Art. 28 GDPR.
What's not in the plan, we say openly: development of new features, theme adjustments beyond the free hours, content creation, SEO strategy, new plugin license costs. Everything beyond the free hours runs at the transparent hourly rate of 100 € net, with prior effort estimate and approval by you.
For our Astro sites, a separate care package applies. Astro sites are static and need significantly less maintenance – we reflect that in the price. More on our Astro Agency page.
What a Maintenance Contract with Us Is Not
Not a 24/7 emergency service for non-maintenance clients
If you show up without a contract because your site is burning, we help – but with an emergency surcharge (250 € starting fee + 100 €/h).
Not a marketing agency
Maintenance means: your site runs, is secure, is fast. Campaigns, texts, SEO strategies, social media – not our job. We're happy to refer you elsewhere.
Not a cheap discount provider
If you're looking for maintenance for 9.90 € a month, there are providers who do that. We don't – because at our place, a real person sits there who knows your site.
Not a hosting provider
We recommend the right host for your use case and set everything up, but you pay the hosting itself directly to the provider. No margin markups on our side.

Initial Conversation

Onboarding Audit
We analyze your site systematically. With a contract signed within 4 weeks, the audit price (290 €) is fully credited. More on our audit page.
Setup and Handover
We set up backup, monitoring, and security tools. You get access to your status data. DPA is signed upon contract conclusion.
Ongoing Maintenance
Updates, backups, monitoring run from contract start. In case of incidents, we respond within your plan's SLA time.
Reporting
With Basic, you get a quarterly PDF; with Pro and Premium, monthly. Content: completed updates, backup status, uptime, security events.

Frequent Questions About WordPress Maintenance
Do you also maintain sites that weren't built by you?
Yes, that's actually our standard case. We maintain WordPress sites built by other agencies, freelancers, or in-house teams. The onboarding audit clarifies whether there are technical obstacles in advance – e.g. extremely outdated WordPress versions or completely undocumented custom plugins. In the vast majority of cases, we onboard without issues.
What happens if my site gets hacked?
In the Basic plan, we clean up the site by effort at the hourly rate of 100 €. In Pro and Premium, cleanup is included if the hack happened despite active maintenance. In Premium, a root-cause forensic analysis is also included so we identify and block the cause.
Where are my backups stored?
On German servers, separate from your site's hosting. We use encrypted backups with fixed retention (30/60/90 days depending on plan). On request, you can download backups yourself at any time.
Can I really cancel monthly?
Yes. The first contract phase is 3 months – so onboarding pays off for us. After that, monthly cancellable to the end of the month. We don't want to keep clients in contracts who aren't satisfied.
Which hosting providers do you recommend?
Depends on the use case. For agency clients, usually Raidboxes (high performance, easy multi-site management). For GDPR-sensitive mid-sized clients, Mittwald (German processing, mStudio). For price-sensitive clients, Hetzner with our maintenance contract or All-Inkl. We don't earn commission on hosting recommendations – that keeps us honest.
