Client

Seidenweberhaus is the City of Krefeld's event venue – concerts, comedy, conferences and corporate events. It belongs to the same operator as YAYLA ARENA.

The starting point

Seidenweberhaus and YAYLA ARENA are two venues run by the same operator in Krefeld – with separate programmes, separate audiences and their own presence. Seidenweberhaus hosts concerts, comedy, conferences and corporate events; the arena covers sport and the large indoor shows.

Both websites were therefore built at the same time. The obvious temptation would have been to make it one site with two sections. The client explicitly did not want that: two venues, two brands, two presences – but one editorial team that does not want to maintain everything twice.

What we built

  • A standalone WordPress website carrying the Seidenweberhaus identity
  • The same custom event system as YAYLA ARENA – same input mask, same recurring-event logic
  • Twig templates via Timber, tailored to the venue's content types
  • Visitor information: directions and parking, seating plan, house rules, FAQ
  • A separate area for event organisers, kept apart from visitor-facing content
  • Ticketing via Eventim – the site presents and promotes, selling happens externally

The interesting part: one system, two brands

The real gain is not in the single website but in there being two of them. The event system was built once and serves both venues. The editorial team works in both back ends with the same mask, the same fields and the same recurring-event logic – so there is nothing new to learn when someone moves between the venues.

None of that is visible from the outside: each venue has its own identity, its own domain and its own way of addressing visitors. That is the difference between “building two websites” and “building one solution that appears twice” – and it pays off again with every extension, because it only has to be developed once.

Several locations, one editorial team?

When several brands need the same logic, it is worth building it once rather than twice. Tell us how many presences you maintain.
